What is foxcatcher farm?

Foxcatcher Farm, also known as Foxcatcher Farm Stable, is a historic equestrian estate located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1925 by William du Pont Jr., a wealthy businessman and polo enthusiast. The estate covers over 800 acres of land and features a large stable complex, riding arenas, paddocks, and luxurious accommodations for horses and riders.

Foxcatcher Farm gained notoriety in the 1980s and 1990s when it became the training center for the Foxcatcher wrestling team, founded by John du Pont, a member of the du Pont family who took over the estate after his father's death. The team included several Olympic and world-class wrestlers who trained at the farm, but tragedy struck in 1996 when du Pont murdered one of the wrestlers, Dave Schultz, on the estate grounds. This tragic event was later portrayed in the 2014 film "Foxcatcher."

Today, Foxcatcher Farm remains a prestigious equestrian facility that hosts horse shows, clinics, and other events. The estate is known for its beautiful grounds and top-notch facilities, making it a popular destination for riders and horse enthusiasts.
